Hexham Horseless Carriages was established in 1996 as an independent solus TVR dealer under the direct management of Tony Abrams, a TVR dealer since 1980. Initially operating as a sister company to the then longest established TVR dealers in North Yorkshire we have carved out a niche as the North's leading sportscar centre. The latest addition to our showroom and workshops is the fabulous Ginetta G40R which is alomost unique in being a fully road registered racecar! Our demonstration G40R is here to view and should be seen at a track near you some time soon!!
Our experience of being one-time Noble agents leaves us well placed to offer our expertise to owners of this famous marque even though we no longer sell these vehicles new. Lotus have recently reorganised their retail dealer network and once again, although we no can longer supply new Lotus models we still have the expertise available to look after your car, we can supply any parts required and we continue to maintain many local cars.
We are situated in the pleasant market town of Hexham, mid-way between Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Carlisle, and we occupy a modern, purpose-built premises with a large split-level showroom, workshop and storage area. Our ten-strong team have gathered many years of experience with the marques that we sell as well as looking after a diverse range of other vehicles.
We have also been pleased to get involved with motorsport preparation and our TVR Tuscan Challenge car took the top honours in class B in the 2007 season of the Dunlop Tuscan Challenge, since then we have completed the build of other TVR race cars including an historic 3000M which has contested class C in the series with great success. Our regular track days held at Croft race circuit near Darlington, give fellow enthusiasts the chance to push their cars in a safe and controlled environment, see the other area of the site for specific info and pictures.
We are open six days a week, 08.30 until 17.00 Monday to Friday and 09.00 until 14.00 on Saturdays during the winter period.
